How I Became a Small Press Writer

Sorry, again, for the poor quality. If you'd like a better-quality version, drop me an e-mail. In case anyone takes it this wrong way, it is a satire and presses mentioned are fictional. Let me know what you think.

Oh man! That was fantastic! You did a great job with this lil' film. Very creative and original. I loved it.

Double thumbs-up from Zygote in my Coffee!

Dude, everyone knows that the Atlantic trumps the New Yorker. Get your facts straight. If you had a decent publisher you'd already know this.

What the hell are you talking about, Jethro? I sound exactly, I mean "exactly" like Barry White.

My publisher never tells me anything. Although I would argue that The New Yorker is be all and end all with short fiction. If you publish a story in The New Yorker, you can pretty much sit back and wait for agents to call.

Many thanks, Brian. Especially for not being sarcastic and critical, like some other people on this blog.

Nate,

Your movie exposes the comedy of the "littles." Great stuff.

Thanks, Don. Unless we laugh, we're destined to take ourselves WAY too seriously.
